AET Professional Training

Shine Outreach offer training to all staff working within an RBWM school setting. Our staff can deliver the Autism Education Trust training modules outlined below.

Individualised training can also be delivered to school staff based around the needs of a specific pupil(s).

Autism Education Trust (AET) Training Modules

The Autism Education Trust School’s Professional Programme offers a set of training modules and materials for those working in schools for pupils aged 5-16.

They can be delivered at our training hub in Maidenhead or we can deliver whole school training at your preferred location. The AET schools programme can form an essential part of Continuing Professional Development and is nationally recognised.

Making Sense of Autism – (2.5 hours)

This is a raising awareness module for anyone working in schools. It will enhance your understanding and awareness of autism and how it affects children in schools.

Good Autism Practice – Level 2 (2.5 hours)

This is a module for practitioners who work directly with autistic pupils in school settings. It provides guidance on processes and tools that can help practitioners to implement good autism practice.

Autism and Anxiety (2.5 hours)

This module will provide delegates with an understanding of what we mean by anxiety, how it appears in autistic pupils, what the key triggers are and what delegates can do to support autistic pupils and prevent and reduce anxiety.

Please contact us on shine@furzeplatt.net if you would like more information on any of these courses.

Please note that Shine Outreach only hold a licence to deliver AET training to schools within RBWM.
